Collar styling ideas: Classics edition

Salut!

Some people say that a match of classical collar and some kind of neck accessory is too much and too gaudy. But I would like to deny this opinion. I think, that a minimal brooch, chocker or necklace is a great modern take on a classical collar and gives a finished and not that boring look.
So today I would like to introduce to you three different classy looks of a traditional collar.

When a black top seems oddly modest and dull I suggest to wear a colorful brooch on the collar. You can vary symmetrical or asymmetrical compositions. I'm pretty sure that two identical brooches would look amazing wearing symmetrically.

Chocker and collar

For the sophisticated rocker look I prefer a match of white collar and chocker. By volumizing your hair, you can create a modern look of early 90s. But there is a one “but” about the chocker: chocker optically shortens the neck, so you need to have a longer neck or a deeper collar cut.

Necklace and collar

This idea is all about geometry. The corners of the collar match this low-angled necklace. I love this look because it’s great for formal events but also shows a spirit of classical and fashionable sense. I also suggest to wear small golden earrings to match the golden dots of the collar.
